Specialty Products is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Mechanic (2:00PM - 10:30PM) who will be responsible for the repair and upkeep of all company assets and building to promote safe work practices, food safety, quality, and legality to the fullest extent possible, at the processing plant in Brook Park, OH. What you'll do:
- Install and troubleshoot industrial machine control systems including 3-wire and PLC controls.
- Install, repair, and diagnose both AC & DC motors, single and three-phase power systems up to 480 volts.
- Install, repair, and diagnose mechanical power transmission drives and related systems. (gearboxes, chains, sprockets, belts, and pulleys) as well as pneumatic equipment (compressors, blowers, solenoids, valves, cylinders, flow controls, etc.)
- Install and repair general facility plumbing and perform carpentry work as required.
- Support the PM system and apply industrial lubricants.
- Properly handle and apply basic hand and power tools and test equipment.
- Support the plant’s production equipment and set-up.
- Execute breader mills, scalper, and sifter set-up, change-over, and disassembly requirements.
- Responsible for the hook-up and unloading of bulk rail materials, and the proper hook-up of bulk-material trucks.
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the robotic, conveyor, and bagging systems.
- Responsible for the handling of waste oil in compliance with EPA rules.
- Responsible for the daily inspection of forklift equipment.
- Responsible for knowing and following company rules and procedures.
What you'll need:
- Must be able to operate a forklift, and lift 75 pounds.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior work experience in a processing facility or in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Self-starter with a positive attitude
- Ability to work overtime
