CTE Director


POSITION PURPOSE: Under the direction of the Superintendent or designee, the Director of Facilities will plan, organize, assist, and direct facility maintenance, security, repair, and the physical operation of Goshen Community Schools.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee CTE programs that align with state, federal, and industry standards.
  • Manage CTE curriculum development and ensure alignment with workforce needs, industry certifications, and postsecondary education requirements.
  • Supervise CTE teachers and staff, providing professional development, support, and evaluation.
  • Establish partnerships with local businesses, industries, and higher education institutions to create student internships, apprenticeships, and career pathway opportunities.
  • Oversee grant applications and funding sources, including Perkins funding and local grants, to support program expansion and student success.
  • Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis and reporting on student outcomes, industry certifications, and workforce readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing CTE programs.
  • Promote CTE programs to students, parents, and the community through outreach events, marketing, and advisory committees.
  • Coordinate student career counseling and advising related to CTE pathways and postsecondary options.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, labor market needs, and career and technical education best practices.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Career and Technical Education, Administration, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching or administrative certification (as required by state regulations).


QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Experience in CTE education, program development, or workforce training.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build partnerships with industry, community stakeholders, and educational institutions.
  • Knowledge of state and federal CTE regulations, funding sources, and curriculum requirements.
  • Experience with data analysis and program assessment for continuous improvement.


WORK CALENDAR: 204 days per year, 40 hours per week
