A clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who prescribes, delegates, and coordinates care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Evaluates educational needs and learning opportunities for all classifications of care givers in assigned unit by staff input, physician feedback, performance improvement activities, variance report tracking, nursing outcomes, and advances in clinical knowledge and practice. Coordinates the unit education activities to meet the assessed needs for staff development, new colleague orientation, and new technology and expertise education, as well as inservice education.

Position Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Registered Nurse with a valid Indiana State RN license.
Preferred Education:
- BSN
- Five years’ experience in the clinical specialty of the unit, with demonstrated clinical expertise within the specialty.
- CNOR or obtained within 2 years.
- OR- ACLS
