Summary
About GP - Heart & Vascular: This practice treats heart and vascular conditions and provides a wide variety of interventional radiology services. We work in concert with the patient's PCPs in helping to manage their disease. Early prevention and detection is our goal. Our providers and colleagues all have their patient's health and well-being as their main focus and work to maintain both.
This position is responsible for accurately scheduling and authorizing diagnostic testing and procedures ordered for CVL/ IR/ EP as directed by the physician utilizing appropriate resources and policies. Responsibilities also include instructing patients, clear and concise documentation, effective communication, and acting as a liaison between insurance companies, physician offices, hospital, and the patient. Must be able to multi-task in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. Must be self-motivated and driven with an ability to prioritize patient care tasks. Knowledge of CPT/ ICD coding is preferred.
Position Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school graduate. Computer entry/keyboarding skills.
- Minimum Experience: 1 year in hospital setting and knowledge of medical terminology. 1 year of computer applications.
- Preferred Experience: Knowledge of H&V procedures
