Summary
The Speech Pathologist evaluates patients and applies a wide variety of therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with speech, language, hearing, swallowing and oral motor disorders. Directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and enhance performance. Facilitates the learning of skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity to diminish or correct pathology and to promote and maintain health. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with all colleagues and customers.
Position Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Masters degree in Speech/Language Pathology and licensed or eligible for licensure in Indiana. Must be eligible for certification in Speech/Language Pathology by the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association.
- Minimum Experience: 1 year general speech/language pathology experience.
- Preferred Experience: Previous experience in home health care preferred.
- Certifications Required: Current CPR certification, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or completing Clinical Fellowship.
- Certifications Preferred: Certification in SLP by ASLHA
- Additional Qualifications: Must posses a valid Drivers License with auto insurance and have reliable means of transportation.
