EL Collaborator
POSITION PURPOSE: Assist classroom teacher(s) by providing support services to individuals, small groups, and/or whole classrooms of students for the sole purpose of increasing student achievement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support classroom instruction and increase student achievement
- Close achievement gap
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Teaching degree preferred
- Bilingual skills in Spanish
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Self-driven and motivated
- High energy – committed to teaching in collaboration with others
- Can motivate students
- Strong problem solver
- Skilled at communicating with staff and students
- Can model thinking and problem solving skills to students
- Believes all students can learn
- Fosters positive, validating relationships within the school community
- Can track student progress
- Understands literacy instruction
- Familiar with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
- Values diversity
HOURS: School year - 180 days per year; 37.5 hours per week; 8:00 am to 3:45 pm
SALARY: $21.00-$21.65, rate is dependent upon education and/or experience. Those with a Master's Degree are eligible for an additional $1.00 per hour. (Schedule #21-2)
