Certified Nursing AssistantThe Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) position at Goshen Medical Center, Inc. is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care of primary care patients. The employee will utilize clinical and administrative processes by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members.Examples of Job Responsibilities : Conduct patient work-upAssist primary care providerAssist with medical procedures (e.g. labs, dispersion of medications, etc.)Assess patient vital signsDocument patient EMR information (e.g. patient vitals, medication reconciliation, etc.)Provide assistance with patient referrals and authorizationsAssist in coverage of additional Goshen Medical Center facilities with daily operations as requiredMedical office administration (e.g. patient check-in, patient check-out, etc.)Other assigned dutiesCredentials : Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)CPR / BLS CertificationCertification(s) must be current and must be maintained as a condition of employment.Education Requirements (must have one of the following) : High School Diploma CRCHigh School Equivalent CRCMedical Assistant certification from an accredited vocational institution, or a community college course in medical assisting.Clinical Experience & Skills Requirements : 1-year CNA or CMA experience in a clinical setting (e.g. medical office, hospital, etc.)Ability to communicated effectively both verbally and in writingBasic computer skillsAbility to multi-task and provide administrative office assistance if necessary (e.g. answer phones, fax documents, call back patients, etc.)Preferred Clinical Experience & Skills : Phlebotomy experience (preferred but not required)Bilingual (Spanish) (preferred but not required)Electronic Medical Record experience (preferred but not required)
