Job Summary
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a experience practicing in various areas of civil law, have strong ties to the San Angelo area, and show in interest in civil litigation. Our firm focuses on real estate law, estate planning and probate, business law, civil litigation and oil and gas law. All applicants must be licensed to practice law in Texas. Starting salary depends heavily on experience.
Duties
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery, contracts, trusts and entity formation documents
- Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings
- Provide legal advice to clients on various legal matters
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations in relevant practice areas
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Texas
- Strong knowledge of various areas of law
- Eager to learn and practice in new areas of law
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
