Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable First Aid Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be CPR- Instructor Certified or BLS Instructor Certified and will be responsible for educating individuals in first aid, CPR, and other life-saving techniques through engaging and informative classes. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to effectively convey important information to a diverse audience. The First Aid Instructor will play a vital role in ensuring that participants are well-prepared to respond to emergencies with confidence and competence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive first aid and CPR training sessions for various audiences, including adults and youth.
- Create lesson plans that meet the educational needs of participants while adhering to established guidelines.
- Utilize effective public speaking skills to engage participants and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
- Assess participant understanding through practical demonstrations and written evaluations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of first aid practices, CPR techniques, and emergency response protocols.
- Provide constructive feedback to participants to enhance their skills and confidence in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive training program.
- Ensure all training materials and equipment are prepared and maintained for each class.
Skills
- Strong background in adult education methods, with the ability to adapt teaching styles to meet diverse learning needs.
- Excellent public speaking capabilities, with experience leading classroom discussions and presentations.
