Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cover first aid, CPR, and emergency response techniques.
- Conduct training sessions for diverse groups, ensuring that all participants understand the material presented.
- Utilize effective communication skills to convey complex information in an accessible manner.
- Assess student performance through practical demonstrations and written evaluations.
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages participation and questions.
- Stay updated on the latest first aid protocols and educational techniques to enhance training effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to improve course offerings and student experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in adult education or teaching, preferably in a first aid or health-related field.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR techniques, and emergency response protocols.
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for adult learners.
- Certification as a First Aid Instructor or equivalent is preferred; Lifeguard certification is a plus.
- Ability to swim proficiently may be required for certain training scenarios.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the capability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
