Assistant Residential Service Manager
Job Summary:
The Assistant Residential Service Manager will be responsible for assisting the Residential Service Manager in managing and overseeing quality services to customers and overseeing the daily operations of the service department. The Assistant Residential Service Manager will collaborate with the Residential Service Manager in managing field-electricians and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and coordination.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Collaborates and gives input to the Residential Service Manager regarding field electricians’ performance.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and related software.
· Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
· Familiarity with a variety of residential electrical trouble shooting and repair concepts, including the technical ability to understand and interpret Electrical Codes, NFPA and Lighting Systems.
· Broad understanding of all areas of a typical electrical service business, including electrical applications, permits and safety regulations.
· Submits service applications and coordinates/schedules work with utility companies.
· Accurately schedules and coordinates inspections with contractors.
· Follow up and collect outstanding invoices.
· Must speak English clearly and fluently.
· Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Collaborates with the Service Manager to ensure the smooth operation of service activities, including managing daily activities, scheduling, coordinating service activities and communicating with customers.
· Assist with procuring required permits as needed.
· When the Service Manager is unavailable, the Assistant Service Manager will oversee service operations.
Education and Experience:
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an electrical customer service environment.
· Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.
· Electrical license(s) in Maryland, Virginia or Washington, DC is a PLUS.
Physical Requirements:
· Requires prolonged sitting and working on computer systems.
· Requires occasional walking, bending, stretching, and climbing.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
Work Environment:
· Work will primarily take place in an open-office environment.
· May require occasional outside work in various temperatures and weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,950.00 - $65,863.00 per year
