Master Electrician with Solar Experience

Got Electric LLC, a growing electrical contractor based in Ijamsville, Maryland, is looking for highly motivated Master Electrician with Solar Experience.

Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

•  Supervise the electrical installation of commercial rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.

•  Oversee work among electricians, subcontractors, and other trades to promote a coordinated and efficient installation.

•  Project management duties including setting up jobs, assistance with bidding, estimating, and ordering materials.

•   Investigate and resolve field issues.

•  Manage the work to ensure that it is installed in compliance with and conforms to the project plans and approved contract documents and national, state and local electrical codes, as well as safety regulations.

•  Pull permits as necessary, with the assistance of administration staff.

•  Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

•  Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to address concerns, provide updates and ensure customer satisfaction.

•  Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure working environment.

•  Collaborate with the team to achieve project deadlines and quality standards.

• •  Contribute to overall company improvements and decisions.

Qualifications

•  MD, VA or DC Master Electrician’s License

•  5 years of management experience

•  Must be able to read and comprehend electrical plans and specifications

•  NFPA 70E training (preferred)

•  Must be able to adapt and adjust quickly to changes.

•  OSHA 30

•  Proficiency in MS Office, Electrical Design Software, strong technical aptitude and familiarity with electrical codes and regulations.

•  Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.

Education and Experience:

•  High school diploma or equivalent required.

•  Valid Master Electricians License required.

•  Solar experience is required – minimum of 3 years.

Work Environment:

•  Work can take place inside and outside in various temperatures and weather conditions.

•  Various weather conditions include cold and snowy, hot and humid and everything in between. 

•  Must be comfortable working in different environments.

•  Ability to travel to various project sites.

Physical Requirements:

•  Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.

•  Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.

• •  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Salary $100 - $150k

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
