ABOUT THIS JOB :
As part of our Event Production team, the Live Video Technical Producer is the bridge between event sales and fully executed productions. Working closely with Sales, Design, and Warehouse teams, this role takes a high volume of contracted events and translates them into detailed designs using Vectorworks plotting, signal flow diagrams, and database-driven pick / pack / pull lists.
This office-based position is responsible for the pre-production of assigned events, ensuring all technical elements—from CAD drawings to sub-rentals—are dialed in for a seamless event execution.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Create scale design plots, layers, signal diagrams, and schematics for events using Vectorworks in collaboration with the production teamGenerate and manage warehouse pick / pack / pull lists, sub-rental orders, and all required materials and supplies for each eventRevise and update floor plans and equipment lists as needed based on last-minute changes or client demandsDraft floor plans, schematics, samples, and Vectorworks renderings as needed for events in the presales processCollaborate daily with warehouse staff and management to ensure clear and accurate warehouse orders, serving as a key resource for event-related equipment questionsSupport onsite field teams by providing guidance on designs, troubleshooting, and creative solutions in case of emergencies or challengesAssist Sales with AV logistics, pricing, and technical considerationsTest and validate client-provided show media, responding to client inquiries on behalf of the Sales TeamDevelop standardized Vectorworks templates for frequently used venuesParticipate in weekly meetings to review upcoming events, production needs, and challengesLead pre-production meetings with Sales and field crew to ensure successful event execution, discussing technical details, challenges, creative approaches, and backup options. Update designs based on meeting feedbackAdvise on event staffing needs, ensuring the right crew for specific events / clientsCoordinate with co-vendors and venues to obtain critical structural data for safe and accurate rigging and executionMaintain open communication with warehouse, field, and office teams to streamline productionManage relationships with sub-rental vendors, ensuring clear and timely communication about order changes and timelinesCheck in with the warehouse and event crew via phone or in-person to ensure seamless event executionReview and accommodate client technical riders, negotiating substitutions when needed while ensuring they align with venue / event requirementsResearch and recommend new equipment purchases to reduce rental costs and expand Got Light’s technical offeringsAssist with equipment quality control in the warehouse as neededTrain new hires on equipment operation, tailoring training to individual skill levels. Take on additional duties as assigned and as the role evolves
REQUIREMENTS :
3-5 years of experience in theatre, event production, and / or special events OR 1 year at Got LightAdvanced knowledge of Lighting, Audio, Video, & Production requiredCAD / Vectorworks experience a plus (but can be trained)Experience with and expert knowledge of video switcher capabilities and limitations, including but not limited to Blackmagic, Barco, and Analog Way.Experience planning creative video setups with LED or projection a major plus.Experience with planning multi-camera broadcastsFamiliarity with the San Francisco Bay Area market, venues, and players is a huge plusExperience in working in a fast-paced environment, with movement from task to taskWilling to work long days, weekends, or holidays as required

COMPENSATION :
85,000-$95,000 / year
