Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, outgoing and knowledgeable Cannabis Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for assisting customers with their cannabis purchases while accurately handling cash/card transactions. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including assisting with inventory.

Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Being a Gotham ambassador to represent and grow the brand
• Greets and receives customers in an individual welcoming manner
• Makes our customers and visitors feel welcome while encouraging them to buy
• Serves customers by helping them select products using your knowledge and training
• Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling and sharing product knowledge
• Accompanies customers by escorting them to different areas of the store
• Responds to customers’ questions and assists associates in resolving customer service issues
• Documents sales by creating or updating client profile records as needed
• Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing cash, credit/debit cards and gift cards
• Perfect execution of operational standards and visual merchandising guidelines - presentation is everything!
• Maintains high customer readiness standards; deliver a clean, neat and easy-to-shop store environment
• Adhere to weekly work schedules (weekends, nights, holidays) and be flexible to the needs of the business
• Maintain knowledge of state laws governing the cannabis sales
• Opening and closing support
• Additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, or a related field is preferred
• Basic knowledge of cannabis products and their uses
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions
• Must be 21 years of age or older

Physical Requirements

• Business casual clothing
• Good hygiene
• Standing for 6 hours
• Utilizing stairs throughout shifts
• Lifting 5-40 lb packages

Compensation

Your salary compensation will be determined in line with company standards, paid bi-weekly consistent with the Company's payroll practices. The first and last payment by the Company to you will be adjusted, if necessary, to reflect a commencement or termination date other than the first or last working day of a pay period. Annual reviews are conducted to review your performance and compensation.
