Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessment and administer required standardized screening tools
- Gather relevant information necessary to accurately diagnose and treat patient; such as, mental status exam; functional impairments; behavioral health, substance use and trauma history; patient strengths and potential barriers to accessing services
- Join with patients to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at addressing identified mental health symptoms of concern and presenting problems
- Employ culturally competent, trauma-informed, best practices during psychotherapy
- Make essential referrals and connections to community resources through care coordination and by helping patients prioritize needs
Skills & Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology. (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW)
- Must hold Active license in California (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT,)
- (2) years therapy experience with crisis counseling and working with adults, children and families in an outpatient setting desired
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, protocols, and the ability to make timely and sound decisions
