Nurse Practitioner – Cardiovascular Medicine

Position Details
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
- Provide specialized care for adults with cardiovascular conditions, ensuring evidence-based treatment.
- Administer and oversee cardiac diagnostic tests, such as stress tests, to support accurate diagnoses.
- Order, interpret, and integrate lab and imaging results into patient treatment plans.
- Develop and manage treatment strategies for cardiovascular conditions, including preventive care.
- Educate patients and families on heart health, disease management, and lifestyle modifications.
- Prescribe medications in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Stay current with advancements in cardiovascular medicine to enhance patient care.
- Assist with additional duties as needed to support the cardiology team.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC, AANP).
- Active, unrestricted New York State RN license.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
· Active Medicare/Medicaid enrollment or eligibility.
· Minimum of 1-2 years as a Nurse Practitioner in cardiovascular medicine.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office.
