We are seeking a skilled and certified Radiologic Technologist to join our team. Under the supervision of the Director and/or designee, you will perform routine and special imaging procedures, ensuring adherence to radiology standards and protocols. Your role is crucial in providing high-quality patient care and assisting radiologists during diagnostic processes.
SHIFTS:
Per Diem: Varied Shifts: mornings: 7:00a-3:00pm; 8:00am - 4:00pm AND evenings; 3:00pm - 11:00pm; 4:00pm - 12:00am; minimum 2 shifts per month; some weekends required
OR
Full Time: Day; Evening and Night shifts available; Monday - Friday; alternating weekends; some holidays
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Preparation and Positioning: Prepare and position patients accurately for specific radiological examinations, adhering to protocol-specific requirements and documenting images appropriately.
- Imaging Procedures: Perform routine and specialized radiographic imaging, using professional judgment to ensure high-quality and complete results.
- Radiologist Assistance: Assist radiologists during procedures, providing necessary support and expertise.
- Equipment Management: Operate and maintain imaging equipment, conducting quality assurance tests and calibrations. Report any equipment malfunctions to Bio Med or supervisor.
- Administrative Duties: Handle routine office tasks, such as answering phones, checking in patients, and managing patient reports and films.
- Communication: Liaise with radiologists and attending physicians, communicating findings and facilitating patient care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families about procedures, ensuring a clear understanding of the examination process.
- Professional Conduct: Uphold company behavioral standards, treating all patients and staff with courtesy and professionalism.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.
- NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required. Certification through ARRT-RT and/or registered RT (R) is mandatory.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- DOH IV certification (or completion within six months of orientation)
- Maintain current continuing education requirements, including 24 CE credits every two years.
- Radiation dose pledge for both Image Gently and Image Wisely through the American College of Radiology (ACR) will be performed during the orientation process and before end of probationary period.

Pay: $38.50 - $48.00 per hour
