Data Scientist- AI/ML Engineer
The primary goal of this role is to establish and promote an Advanced Analytics practice within Information Technology, leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). This is a hands-on position focused on the development, design, and implementation of advanced analytics solutions. The aim is to gain insights into various business areas, including customer/member acquisition, engagement, and retention; geo-unit activities; volunteer onboarding and participation; conference logistics and performance; publication production and profitability; standards development and adoption; industry engagement, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build predictive models and AI/ML algorithms for simulations, prototypes, and software applications.
- Develop data collection processes to support AI/ML models and create A/B testing frameworks for product decisions.
- Model and predict user behavior and business metrics, evaluating data sources for AI/ML use.
- Collaborate with technology stakeholders on big data infrastructure for AI/ML models.
- Contribute to the growth of the Data Science discipline, applying AI techniques to solve business problems.
- Showcase AI/ML solutions to business stakeholders and ensure model validation and performance.
- Develop tools to assess model outcomes and improve based on key performance metrics.
- Assist in adopting new technologies, like generative AI, and establish governance models for AI applications.
Education:
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
- 7-10 years in IT, with 3 years in AI/ML development and 4 years using R/Python.
- 2 years with data science tools (e.g., Pandas, Jupyter) and SQL/database technologies.
- 2 years with cloud services (AWS preferred) and big data solutions (Hadoop, Spark, etc.).
- Experience with Advanced Analytics and Data Visualization.
Skills:
- Expertise in machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to drive projects from inception to completion.
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
