Title: Financial Systems Application Developer
Duration: FTE/Permanent
Location: Hybrid 3 days onsite in NYC
Salary: 100-120k DOE bonus
A direct client of ours is seeking a Financial Systems Application Developer to maintain and support the firm's accounting and finance software platform. This role will serve as the technical point of contact for implementations and upgrades, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. The ideal candidate will have strong .NET development skills, experience with SQL-based financial systems, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and maintenance for financial systems, including 3E and related applications.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and inquiries using SQL, SSRS, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
- Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications (C#, VB.NET) for financial operations.
- Create and optimize complex SQL stored procedures, views, and queries to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new system features.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and debug financial applications to ensure seamless operation.
- Maintain technical documentation for financial systems and applications.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system inefficiencies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance system functionality.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in financial systems development, preferably in a law firm environment.
- Experience with 3E implementations and maintenance (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of .NET framework (C#, VB.NET) and SQL Server.
- Familiarity with ASP.NET, REST APIs, and service-oriented architecture.
- Experience in database management, including Microsoft Analytical Services and MDX.
- Knowledge of Elite Design Gallery (EDG) development and XML/XSLT transformations (a plus).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple teams.
