We are looking for a seasoned experienced Irrigation Technician. Irrigation Technicians at Gothic Landscape are responsible for supervising the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing of irrigation components.
This position is located in Los Angeles, CA.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Interfaces with clients/customer when needed and establishes relationships
- Reads and understands irrigation plans for installation and repair
- Actively troubleshoots irrigation systems identifying deficiencies within the system
- Programs irrigation controllers on all assigned job sites using repeat cycles to maximize penetration and minimize runoff
- Creates reports detailing irrigation schedules and meter readings as well as a log of irrigation repairs for each job
- Practices effective water management techniques such as ET based scheduling as well as the use of a soil probe to determine the appropriate irrigation schedule for each job
- Recognizes drainage deficiencies and problem soils
- Understands the concept of central control systems
- Understands flow sensing and has the ability to set up and install flow sensing hardware
- Fulfills all regular and advanced installation/construction duties including projects layout and completes required paperwork in a timely manner
- Organizes, supervises, leads, and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frame
Skills & Experience Required:
- $22-$30 per hour (specific compensation may vary based on overall skills & experience)
- Bilingual Spanish is a huge plus, but not required
- Must have completed OSHA 10 training course
- At least 6 months' of related experience or training
