What to expect
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the assembly, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems within our highly automated assembly equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, PLC controls, and safety systems.
What you'll do :
- Assembly & Installation : Assemble, install, and wire electrical components and systems according to schematics and specifications. This includes control panels, wiring harnesses, sensors, and actuators.
- Troubleshooting & Repair : Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in equipment, utilizing your knowledge of electrical theory and testing equipment.
- PLC Programming & Modification : Troubleshoot and modify PLC programs (Beckhoff and Siemens) based on engineer instructions to optimize equipment performance and resolve issues.
- Drive Systems : Install, configure, and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Servo Drive systems.
- Schematic Updates : Update and modify electrical schematics using ePlan Electrical CAD software to reflect changes and improvements to equipment.
- Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to improve electrical system reliability, efficiency, and safety. Suggest modifications or upgrades to enhance performance.
- Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Prepare reports and documentation as required.
- Safety & Compliance : Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures, including lockout / tagout procedures, when working on electrical equipment.
What you'll bring
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time, hourly position is between $38 - $48 per hour plus benefits and overtime on occasion with reasonable notice.
