The Director will lead and execute a comprehensive content marketing and SEO strategy to drive organic growth, brand authority, and audience engagement.
Essential Functions
- Content Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive digital content strategies that align with the company’s goals and target audience.
- SEO Management: Develop and execute effective SEO strategies to improve website rankings, increase organic traffic, and enhance online visibility.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of content creators, SEO specialists, and digital marketing professionals, ensuring collaboration and adherence to best practices.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, SimilarWeb, Moz to assess the effectiveness of content and SEO efforts, identifying areas for improvement.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and best practices, applying them to the company’s content marketing strategy. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital content and SEO, and implement new strategies and techniques as needed.
- Budget Management: Oversee the digital marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
- SEO Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a holistic SEO strategy, including on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, to increase organic traffic and search rankings.
- Content Strategy & Development: Lead the content marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, audience needs, and SEO best practices.
- Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Manage and mentor a team of SEO specialists, content strategists, and writers to achieve performance goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and development, to ensure content is aligned with brand guidelines and optimized for search engines.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rates, and content engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in content marketing and SEO, with a proven track record of driving organic growth.
- Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO tools.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling content strategies.
- Experience managing content teams and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in analytics platforms and data-driven decision-making.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and technical SEO best practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation systems.
- Technical Skills: Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital content and SEO strategies. Proficiency in digital marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SEO/SEM tools, and CRM software. Familiarity with project management tools like Trello, Asana, or Jira is also beneficial.
