Network Engineer

GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB DUTIES

GoTriangle is looking for a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our network infrastructure to support our mission. The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining GoTriangle's network systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and deploy scalable network solutions for LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud environments.

• Develop and implement network architecture to meet business needs and enhance system performance.

• Monitor network performance and conduct capacity planning to ensure optimal system efficiency.

• Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.

• Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.

• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Implement firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure VPNs.

• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring service continuity.

• Provide tier-2 support for escalated issues and mentor IT staff in network troubleshooting techniques.

• Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate network solutions with business systems.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, processes, and incident resolutions.

• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.

• Recommend and implement new technologies to improve network capabilities and security.

• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering or a related role.

• Certification(s) Preferred - Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate or equivalent

• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and concepts (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs).

• Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise network hardware.

• Experience with cloud-based networking solutions and hybrid network environments.

• Strong understanding of network security best practices and tools.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong project management and organizational abilities.

• Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the above stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

Working Conditions:

Works in an office environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or extreme temperatures. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting operating facilities, during which the incumbent should observe all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and use all protective clothing and devices provided.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
