Plating Support Operator (Part Time) - Vinyl Record Manufacturing

Gotta Groove Records is a manufacturer of vinyl records, and is known for pressing some of the highest quality records anywhere in the world. We are currently seeking a motivated individual to run our new nickel electroforming lab located in Columbus, Ohio. The successful candidate for this position will be charged with producing the highest quality nickel parts, which are ultimately used to press the grooves into the many records pressed by Gotta Groove. Job Description:

The Electroforming Technician is responsible for performing each step of the metal part production process for vinyl record plating.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Mechanical ability / experience working with machines
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs or more
• Detail oriented, proactive communication skills, safety conscious.
• Basic computer skills
• Reliable transportation

Ideal Qualifications, But Not Required:

• Electroplating or electroforming experience is preferred
• No prior vinyl record manufacturing experience is required, but a love and appreciation for music and/or vinyl records is desired.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Intake/logging/inspection of parts
• Loading / unloading parts, mounting to tooling, maintaining clean equipment and facilities
• Metal forming / centering / punching for proper stamper production.
• Documentation/database entry, archiving, and metal master inventory management; and shipping metal parts between the Gotta Groove facilities
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and testing/maintaining chemistry levels
• Troubleshooting issues with produced parts as well as lab equipment.
• Possible additional responsibilities maintaining equipment, assisting with other departments (packing & shipping records), and associated misc tasks.
