Job Details
QUALIFICATIONS:
In-Service Orientation by school required.
Report to School Office/School Secretary/Designated Staff Member.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reviews with a designated staff member, all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day.
2. Maintains as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which he/she is assigned.
3. Teaches the lessons outlined and described in the lesson plan prepared by the absent teacher.
4. Consults with the principal before initiating any teaching or other procedures not specified in the lesson plans.
5. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to supervise students at all times.
6. Leaves a written report for the teacher on the day's activities.
7. Follows all policies, rules, and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good practice dictates.
8. Abides by all district and school policies as outlined in the school substitute teacher guidelines.
