Pump Mechanic/Inspector Responsibilities:
- Provide work scope and materials based on customer requirements and specifications.
- Report defects, rework, missed inspections, job delays, and problem areas to internal/external customers.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of inspection sheets and drawings.
- Review and inspect equipment clearances prior to final assembly.
- Conduct final inspections of machined parts and assembled equipment.
- Safely perform air and hydro-testing of equipment.
- Adhere to ITT policies and procedures, including safety and productivity standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams as needed.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues with rotating equipment.
- Knowledge of pump drawings and blueprints.
- Self-starting attitude with ability to work independently and within a team.
- Customer service mindset with focus on timely delivery and quality workmanship.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Well-developed planning, organization, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in relevant PC skills.
Experience:
- 10 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment.
- Experience reading blueprints, including GT&T.
- Experience operating lifting devices, such as cranes and forklifts.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Vocational/Technical Degree preferred.
