Chemical Operator I & II
Responsibilities:
- Accurately add and record required material amounts specified in manufacturing formulations.
- Follow written manufacturing instructions to ensure batch quality and appearance.
- Gather and document operational data and inventory systems accurately.
- Maintain equipment operability and assist in troubleshooting quality issues.
- Continuously improve manufacturing procedures for efficiency and safety.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and handle chemical spills when necessary.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new Chemical Operators.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of related experience or training
- Forklift license required
- Basic math skills and computer proficiency (MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to read and interpret safety and procedure manuals
- Willingness to start your shift between 4:00am – 7:00am (M-F work week)
Chemical Operator III
Responsibilities:
- Operate and control chemical processes, including reaction chemistry involving high temperature, vacuum, condensing, reflux, and byproduct recovery.
- Lead and mentor team members, supporting training and organizational improvements.
- Oversee raw material staging and manage logistics support for operations.
- Update production procedures to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Perform in-process quality testing and make necessary batch or equipment adjustments.
- Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance scheduling as required.
- Participate in emergency response efforts and assist in chemical spill cleanup.
- Communicate batch progress and process issues during shift changes.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 years of chemical manufacturing experience, including reaction chemistry
- Hazwoper 24-hour certification preferred
- Forklift experiece required
- Advanced communication skills for collaboration with management, vendors, and customers
- Intermediate skills with Data Historian and MS Office applications
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts
