- Oversee governmental accounting practices as required by local, state, or federal regulations.
- Utilize technical accounting skills to resolve complex financial issues and provide recommendations.
- Perform reconciliations of accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights based on historical data.
- Use accounting software such as Quicken or Xero for efficient record-keeping and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information for reporting purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and GAAP standards is essential.
