Job Overview
GFI is looking for a Line Cook to join our team and share our vision of providing an exceptional experience for every guest in an upscale casual atmosphere. Ideal candidates will be effective team players, hard-working, and able to work with various personalities while ensuring consistent quality of every product that leaves the kitchen. In addition, we are looking for someone with attention to detail and punctuality.
Successful candidates will have a strong work ethic, knife skills, and references to show a proven track record of loyalty and accountability.
What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include:
• Preparing food for special customer events.
• Attending product cuttings/demonstrations to assist is selecting items we will offer our customers.
•Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
• Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
• Cook according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, or numbers of portions to be served.
• Assisting with Stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
Things you need to be able to do:
•Possess and demonstrates basic culinary skills
• Ability and willingness to work all BOH positions when necessary
- Have a sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Punctuality
Things that are a plus but not a deal-breaker:
• Basic Computer Knowledge
• High School Degree or Equivalent
• One year previous experience in kitchens
