Meat Cutter

Gourmet Meat and Sausage Shop is expanding and is looking for an experienced Meat Cutter to join our team in our new location in Perdido Key, FL. This can be either a part-time or a full-time opportunity. In this position, you will assist our customers, and answer any questions customers may have about our offerings. You will also help make homemade sausages, cut meats for daily case prep, support new in-house recipes and prepare orders. We are a small family owned business , and highly value strong customer service skills. This role will greet our customers and create an excellent experience for our patrons. This is a full service butcher shop that specializes in high-end gourmet meats and handmade sausages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Package and cut meats, and assemble orders
• Advise customers on how to prepare certain meats & make recommendations
• Keep track of inventory
• Sanitize and clean your workspace
• Close out orders using a Point of Sale Cash Register
• Great customers and support purchases

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Requires at least 2 years of experience as a meat cutter
• Must be able to work weekends and around peak times (around holidays)
• Have strong communication and customer service skills
• Culinary knowledge a plus
• Must have experience working at a cash register

Compensation will be based on experience as a butcher/meat cutter.
