Job Description/Duties:
Oversee and coordinate maintenance of facilities and equipment. Repair electrical, plumbing, ventilation, and other building systems. Responsible for evaluating problematic systems or facilities and determining what installation or repair services are needed. Hire, train, evaluate, and schedule the maintenance staff.
- PM schedule; Ordering materials/communication with vendors; estimating jobs; communication with management; supporting all departments and ensuring safety; equipment installation; maintaining inventory of materials on hand.
- Candidate must have demonstrated skills and experience in the fabrication and administration of a maintenance department
- Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to troubleshoot problems. Some light welding, light plumbing, and electrical knowledge are a plus.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work well as a team
- Current/clean CA driver's license required
- Must be dependable. Available to be on-call during the weekends and stay until the emergency repair is done
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a maintenance role
- Attention to detail; someone who takes great pride in their work
- Strong ability to quickly adapt to changing needs and priorities
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to speak and understand basic Spanish a plus
- Experience with CMMS systems a plus
