Who You’ll Work With
Assists Food Safety Management in performing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to keep Quality Program running efficiently. Assures the food safety system by enforcing quality policies, procedures, and standards. Establish a basis for regulatory and customer compliance, mitigate risk, and comply with third party audit standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assists Food Safety Management in the implementation and enforcement of GFSI programs, Food Safety Plans, SSOP and SOP compliance.
Ensures compliance to all regulatory standards including FSP (Food Safety Plan), FDA (Food and Drug Administration), SSOP’s (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), etc.
Assists with conducting monthly and quarterly facility audits.
Monitors and manages list of audit deficiencies.
Recording non-conformances and corrective actions.
Assist personnel in the determination of root cause and implementation of corrective actions.
Monitor work areas to ensure workers are following GAP, GMP and HACCP programs. Provide training when needed.
Responsible for verification procedures and documentation reviews.
Complete customer requests on several platforms: - Trace Grains, ReposiTrak, SafeFood360, Whole Foods Barn, Markon and more.
Respond to customer questions, complaints, or compliance requests. Customer requests may include company statements, letters of guarantee, Country of origin, COA, SDS, organic certificates, kosher certificates and GFSI certificates.
Gather and organize processing documentation as needed.
Generates professional QA documents in Microsoft Word/PowerPoint/Excel
Other tasks as assigned.
Experience/Education
Exceptional written and spoken English.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy of work.
Problem solving.
Strong leadership ability
Organizational skills are a must.
Must be able to work with teams and stay on task when working independently.
HACCP or PCQI certification preferred.
At least 1 year of experience in the food manufacturing industry in a quality assurance role.
Basic lab experience and familiarity with aseptic technique is a plus.
Previous leadership experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:
- $16 to $17 per hour (depending on experience)

Work Environment/Condition of Employment
Most of the work is computer based, the primary work will take place in an office environment, although key functions will take place on the floor of the facility, directly addressing the workplace. Dress is casual with the requirement to wear closed toed shoes, long pants, no makeup, or jewelry.
This position is at-will employment. 90-day probationary period.
