Billing Analyst
Job Location: Cincinnati, OH (ON-SITE)
Status: Full-time, Exempt
Government Acquisitions Inc. (GAI) – is seeking a Billing Analyst to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Billing Analyst position will be responsible for A-Z ownership pf AP Reconciliation of top vendor with subsequent AR billing and collection follow up to a variety of customers. This position will use analytical, research, problem-solving, project management, organizational and communication skills. This position is key to the successful operations of GAI in completing the billing and collection cycles which is a core focus of GAI.
Job Description & Work Responsibilities (Tasks include but are not limited to the following):
- Analyze and interpret customer and vendor contracts /purchase orders to determine billable events
- Audit and process Supplier Invoices
- Must cross-reference in multiple systems, evaluating and interpreting data to make decisions as to billable events based on “rules of engagement” with vendors and customers
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment regarding identification of root cause for chronic and singular payment issues discrepancies
- Research and analyzing customer accounts to make key decisions in order to resolve AR issues
- Resolve billing disputes, while documenting and communicating reasons for payment
- Preparation and sending of invoices at a high volume
- Creating processes and procedures for AR compliance
- Recording and reconciling payments
- Contacting customers and vendors for payment resolution & trouble-shooting
- Negotiating payment arrangements
- Resolving payment discrepancies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Education:
- 3 to 5 years Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience:
- Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience in billing, customer service, or AR/AP preferred
- Excel experience
- Account reconciliations
