What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Planner Estimator III position at Government Facility Federal Contractor?

The Construction Estimator III will perform the role of a project manager and quality control officer in all construction projects through design, contracting and completion.  In this role, the estimator will write daily/weekly reports regarding work in progress, and will assist in analyzing commercial bids for construction and renovation work. In addition, the estimator will inspect, witness and document test newly installed or modified electrical/mechanical systems and equipment and make recommendations for remedial actions to assure performance meets project specifications.  

Aside from the project management and quality control duties, the estimator will support the government facility in a wide range of planning and estimating tasks.  These tasks include analyzing agency requirements; reviewing specifications, drawings, layouts and sketches; preparing detailed cost estimates for materials and man-hours required by trades consistent with accepted trade practices and guidelines. 

Qualified candidates must possess at least 5 years of relevant experience and basic certifications required for this trade.
