Description of WorkThis is an anticipated vacancy.As of January 1, 2025 the new salary range will be $123,843.00 - $247,687.00The Dental Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, coordination and delivery of all dental services at Caswell Developmental Center. Responsibilities include : Provides direct clinical dental treatment, dental health education and participates in the inter-disciplinary process.Supervises and trains the Dental Hygienist and Dental Assistant through education and informational media. Promotes safety in the workplace, ensures a safe work environment through the practice of universal precautions, and performs assigned administrative duties. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from an accredited school of dentistry and a full and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of North Carolina, 4 years consultation or hospital experience desirable and a “Controlled Substance Registration Certificate” from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Be currently certified in CPR.Four years experience in a setting serving people with intellectual disabilities preferred. Training in continuing education programs; fellowships; individualized lecture / clinical instruction; research training; self-directed modules; and staff training in the management and treatment of developmentally disabled dental patients.Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsSome state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience”.
