Responsibilities include : Provides direct clinical dental treatment, dental health education and participates in the inter-disciplinary process.Supervises and trains the Dental Hygienist and Dental Assistant through education and informational media. Promotes safety in the workplace, ensures a safe work environment through the practice of universal precautions, and performs assigned administrative duties. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from an accredited school of dentistry and a full and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of North Carolina, 4 years consultation or hospital experience desirable and a “Controlled Substance Registration Certificate” from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Be currently certified in CPR.Four years experience in a setting serving people with intellectual disabilities preferred.
