The County of Mendocino is looking for a highly qualified Healthcare Leader to fill the position of County Health Officer. This individual will serve as the chief health strategist, leading efforts to protect and improve community health.
Responsibilities will include supervising health education initiatives, collaborating with healthcare providers, and ensuring the delivery of quality health services, including for juvenile hall. You will also work closely with local agencies, other County departments, and participate on state and national health boards and committees.
A Master's degree in Public Health or completion of a preventive medicine residency is highly desired, along with certification in the Incident Command System through FEMA's National Incident Management System training program.
