Job Description:
A Corrections Deputy position is being recruited until filled. This notice seeks applicants to participate in the Civil Service Examination for Corrections Deputy. All classified employees within the Sheriff's Office require a Civil Service Examination.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain facility security by receiving, processing, and discharging inmates in a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week maximum-security jail.
- Perform duties as part of a team to ensure the safety and well-being of inmates and staff.
- Enforce laws, regulations, and policies within the detention facility.
Requirements:
- Candidates must pass a Civil Service Examination.
- All classified employees/positions within the Sheriff's Office require a background check and sworn (Commissioned) status.
This position is a full-time regular employment opportunity with the Island County Sheriff's Office.
