Job Description:
The Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH) is seeking a Physician to serve as a Clinical Supervisor in our medical service program. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced clinician to lead a team of healthcare professionals, develop and implement innovative solutions, and contribute to the advancement of healthcare in Rhode Island.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee the provision of high-quality patient care services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementation.
- Supervise and mentor a team of physicians and other healthcare professionals to enhance their clinical skills, confidence, and job satisfaction.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and make adjustments as needed.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess patient needs, provide guidance, and ensure timely interventions.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, quality of care, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and databases to track patient information, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, with experience in leadership roles and team management.
- Excellent clinical skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
