About the Job
This is a clinical psychiatrist position in the Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals. The successful candidate will provide direct patient psychiatric care, plan, organize, supervise and review the work of medical specialists and others engaged in patient care and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient psychiatric care as assigned.
- Maintain standards of psychiatric care and treatment for clinical programs.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients.
- Supervise and review the work of psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
- Instruct medical staff, residents, and students within educational programs.
Required Qualifications
- A thorough knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques in general psychiatry or subspecialty.
- The ability to detect, analyze, evaluate, and interpret clinical symptoms of disorders.
- The ability to handle difficult or complex cases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Educational Requirements
Graduation from a medical school of recognized standing supplemented by advanced study in a field of psychiatry.
