We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Clerk to join our team in our Albuquerque, New Mexico warehouse.
Job Overview:
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for the receiving and shipping of orders. They process shipments, prepare deliveries, assist in inventory taking and participate in warehouse maintenance. The successful candidate will be a reliable, safety minded, team player possessing strong communication skills. They will also be customer-oriented and efficient to ensure shipments are processed in a timely manner to be delivered on time to the GSS customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Handle chemical shipments following all related safety protocols. Ensure proper labels are placed on chemical shipments.
- File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or designated route driver storage area.
- Sort and place products on racks, shelves, and bins; possessing the ability to lift or move 50 lbs.
- Enter delivery information into Navision.
- Prepare packages from stock for delivery.
- Mark materials with identifying information, weighing, counting items, and filing purchase orders.
- Warehouse maintenance including sweeping, disposal of trash and cardboard boxes, icepacks. Maintain walk-through areas ensuring they are clean and free of obstructions.
- Assist with cycle and annual inventory counts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- High school diploma.
- Two or more years of warehouse experience including the use of warehouse machinery, such as a forklift or pallet jack.
- Safety Oriented, familiar with OSHA and ISO standards.
- Hazmat shipping and handling is a plus.
- Experience shipping with top carriers such as FedEx, UPS, Old Dominion is a plus.
- Oracle experience is a plus.
- Prior experience with quality assurance inspections is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Authorization:
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
