Job Overview:

The Warehouse Driver drives company vehicles over established routes to deliver products to GSS customers. They maintain records of deliveries and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery. Utilizing warehouse equipment, they follow safety protocols and procedures, safely moving shipments and loading vehicles for deliveries. The successful candidate will be a reliable, safety oriented, team player possessing strong communication skills. They will excel at providing an exceptional customer service experience through timely deliveries to the extensive GSS customer base.

Responsibilities:

• Drive company trucks to deliver products to customers.
• Follow safety and regulatory protocols for the handling of HAZMAT shipments and deliveries. Ensure proper labels are placed on chemical shipments.
• Document delivery information on daily records and obtain customer signatures to document acceptance of delivery.
• Prepare delivery documentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service and act swiftly to resolve service concerns or issues.
• Pick up product returns from customers.
• Maintain the upkeep of trucks, while loading and unloading items.
• Perform routine maintenance on truck.
• Use warehouse machinery to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platforms to storage, work area, and delivery truck. Follow all required safety protocols and procedures.
• Sort and place products on racks, shelves, and bins; possessing the ability to lift or move 50 lbs.
• Assist with the shipping and receiving functions in the warehouse as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma.
• Maintain a clean driving record, free of major violations such as DWI, reckless driving, etc.
• Hold a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL B) or be able to attain one within the first 60 days of employment.
• Hold a HAZMAT endorsement or be able to obtain one within the first 60 days of employment.
• Safety-oriented, familiar with OSHA and ISO standards.

Salary:

$50,000.00- $53,000.00

Work Authorization:

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Lift or move 50 pounds regularly. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
