QA Tester
Job Description
GovTact has an opening for a two mid level QA Tester positions. The resources are responsible for understanding requirements, and ensuring correct changes made to ICCE applications through the test portion of the project lifecycle.
Duties include:
- following IRS standards, methods, and procedures
- working with project team and IRS customer
- participating in Agile and/or Waterfall development activities
- participating in scrum meetings
- providing project status and reporting
- conducting and documenting testing
- collaborating with IRS projects
- identifying solutions to project issues
- communicating with project and customer project team members
- working with team members regarding requirements, project status, solution design and process
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform analysis on existing functionalities and creating testing scripts/ automation of test suite
- Create and maintain documentation in support of the project
- Create, maintain, and execute test scripts
- Create test scripts to automate the testing using Selenium, UI path or any other testing tool
- Maintain the test script and debug the issues
- Provide status reports
- Provide and document test results or defects
- Use Rational Suite tools
- Use Rational Team Concert (RTC), Rational Functional Tester (RFT), Rational Requirement Management (RQM)
- Use Microsoft Suite tools
Basic Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelors degree. However, additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Desirable to have two to four years of prior relevant experience
- Ability to obtain or possess IRS MBI Clearance
- Desirable to have Rational tools experience
- Must have MS Office experience including Visio
- Desirable to experience using Adobe Acrobat
- Must be flexible and adaptable, able to support using a wide variety of methods and technologies
- Be able to lead small teams or project management experience; creating and updating schedules
- Desirable to have experience in creating meeting agendas, meeting minutes, presentations, and risk management
- Be to track and provide project status
- Be able to provide weekly and monthly status reports
- Desirable to have experience in requirements gathering and analysis
- Desirable to have experience in requirements documentation
- Desirable have experience with creating presentations, business documents like Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), Use Cases or stories
- Desirable to have experience in integration and system testing
- Desirable to have experience in software development life cycle and Waterfall
- Desirable to have experience in Agile Methodology (User Stories, Sprints, Scrum, Testing)
- Desirable to have experience in browser testing
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Desirable to have SQL knowledge
- Must have experience in tracking and reporting on project status and schedule
- Must have experience in coordination of project tasks and activities
- Desirable to have government work experience
- Desirable to have MBI clearance
- Must feel comfortable interacting with the Leidos and IRS customer on a daily basis
- Desirable to have consulting experience
- Must have strong analytical skills and be detail oriented
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $82,500.00 - $104,200.00 per year
