Are you bored at your current job? We are a fast paced, high energy, private club and are seeking a Part-Time Food Runner. This role requires the utmost professionalism, timeliness, and the ability multitask. This is a very interactive position and communication is very important while delivering food orders from the kitchen to customer’s tables rapidly and accurately, acting as the point of contact between the Front and Back of the House staff, communicating food orders to line cooks and paying attention to priorities.
You must be willing to work a flexible schedule including Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure plates are ready to go before leaving the kitchen by garnishing plates, all sides items are included per the order.
- Assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins
- Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
- Remove dirty dishes and utensils
- Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items
- Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check).
- Follow opening and closing checklists.

Qualifications
Experience
Minimum of two years of experience in restaurant setting.
Education
High School graduate/Equivalent.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Vision- must be able to see with or without corrective lenses. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Availability
Ability to work an open schedule, including evenings, holidays and weekends as necessary to meet the needs of GGC. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
