Under the general supervision of the IT Project Management and Procurement Manager, an Information Technology Manager I, the Information Technology Associate (ITA) performs a variety of tasks related to the procurement of IT equipment and software, asset and inventory management, and access management. The ITA works independently to ensure the effective delivery of technology acquisitions including the preparation of various IT solicitation and resulting agreement for hardware, software, and other products and services. The ITA tracks, monitors, and audits IT assets (equipment and software) throughout the item’s lifecycle to maintain accountability using standard asset management tools and techniques in compliance with the State Administrative Manual and other applicable policies and regulations. The ITA performs a variety of tasks with hardware deployment, system imaging, asset disposal, user training, and mobile device management.

Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with the IT asset management lifecycle.
- Knowledge and experience with the state IT procurement process, including the State Contracting Manual (SCM).
- Experience with informal and formal solicitations including but not limited to Requests for Offer (RFO), Invitation for Bid (IFB), Non-Competitive Bid (NCB), exempt contracts, and Requests for Proposal (RFP).
- Ability to develop Statements of Work, technical requirements, deliverables and costs.
- Experience with vendor management, contract negotiation, and purchasing systems, specifically in IT-related purchases.
- Familiarity with IT products and services, including hardware (servers, networking equipment), software licensing models, cloud solutions, and IT services.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to independently analyze and resolve issues; work under pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple concurrent tasks/initiatives; and to adapt to changing priorities or direction.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive tasks, assignments, and information.
- Ability to prepare and produce clear and concise documentation (e.g., processes, procedures, plans, policies, reports, etc.).
