What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Assistant Director position at GOVERNOR'S SCHOOL?
The A. Linwood Holton Governor's School is seeking applicants to fill a part-time Assistant Director vacancy. The Governor's School works with 18 school divisions primarily in Southwest Virginia and 5 community colleges to provide dual enrollment courses to motivated and talented high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. We offer synchronous and asynchronous instruction, and the school is based at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon, VA
Summary of Qualifications:
- Must be organized and have strong interpersonal qualities to work with staff, parents, students, various stakeholders and the school divisions we serve.
- School or Division level administrative experience required
- Master's Degree required
- Must have or qualify for an administrative endorsement on Virginia Department of Education issued license.
- Strong technology skills required
- Passion for helping others is required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Director of the A. Linwood Holton Governor's School
Pay will be based on experience and initial placement will be based on Washington County Public Schools Assistant Principal salary scale.
