Job Description
The Testing Center Proctor is a critical member of the academic support team at Governors State University. This role requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
**Responsibilities:**
- Proctor professional testing for Governors State University and the community, including administering exams in person and online, monitoring for compliance and appropriate conduct, and maintaining confidentiality of test results and security of testing materials.
- Provide office support and clerical services, including routing phone calls, scheduling exam appointments, updating calendars, maintaining filing systems, responding to email communications, and entering exams into examination platforms.
- Effectively communicate and provide routine direction with faculty, staff, students, and community members regarding testing policies and rules.
- Coordinate with related departments as required for standardized group and/or individual test administration, administer and/or coordinate academic and non-academic professional testing, and testing services for accommodation needs, including physical, cognitive, and personal/social diversity accommodations for students with disabilities.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Any one or any combination totaling three (3) years from the following categories: course work in education, behavioral sciences, social sciences, business administration, or a closely related field; work experience in test administration methods and techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs and testing service platforms, including Pearson Vue, PSI, and Prometric.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
