Job description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Superintendent at Will Rogers air national guard in Oklahoma City. The project schedule is expected to run through October. We are installing a modular structure with associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, fire sprinkler trades, among others. We are performing turnkey installation from the slab up. Project completion the Superintendent will travel to New Mexico with a similar scope of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Supervision and Leadership:
- Oversee all daily construction activities on-site, ensuring the timely and efficient execution of tasks.
- Manage and direct the work of subcontractors and laborers to meet project goals.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client, contractor, and subcontractors regarding project updates and issues.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations, military protocols, and environmental policies.
- Monitor safety performance on-site and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify issues, defects, and deviations from plans.
- Review and approve work completed by subcontractors to verify quality and adherence to specifications.
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers to develop schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Resolve any delays or obstacles that could impact the project schedule or quality.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, material deliveries, inspections, and safety compliance.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure all required documentation is submitted in a timely manner and in accordance with military and company policies.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster a collaborative work environment with other departments, including project management, design, and engineering teams.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with at least 2 years as a superintendent on military or government projects.
- Previous experience working on or around military installations or government contracts is highly desirable.
- Certifications & Skills:
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (or equivalent) required.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, blueprints, and contracts.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in using construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for work
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including outdoor weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.).
- Ability to lift and move construction materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to walk, climb, and stand for extended periods.

Pay: $75,000-$90,000 per year
