We are looking for an experienced Director of Nursing to oversee and optimize nursing services in a long-term care facility in Algona, IA. This role ensures high standards of resident care, compliance with regulations, and efficient management of nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the nursing team to provide high-quality resident care.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and clinical programs to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Built trust and relationships with residents and staff, following through on concerns
- Advise medical staff, department heads, and administrators on nursing strategies and best practices.
- Monitor staff performance, conduct evaluations, and provide training as needed.
- Oversee daily operations, including resident care, safety, staffing, and budget management.
- Assist in marketing and community engagement efforts, including special events and public relations.
- Ensure adherence to nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- License: Must have an active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or a multistate license if applicable.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) highly preferred. A nationally accredited nursing program is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care, assisted living, or housing with services.
- Strong knowledge of nursing care standards, regulations, and management practices.
