As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the overall wellness and clinical program within the senior living and skilled nursing community. Your primary focus will be to ensure the well-being of residents by developing and implementing comprehensive wellness initiatives that promote physical health, mental well-being, and social engagement. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, including nurses, therapists, and activity coordinators, to deliver personalized care and support to our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Direct a comprehensive clinical program that aligns with the needs and preferences of the community.
- Assess the physical, mental, and social needs of residents and create personalized wellness plans to support their overall well-being.
- Coordinate and supervise a team of nurses, therapists, and activity coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as dining services and housekeeping, to create an integrated approach to resident care.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical programs, making necessary adjustments and improvements based on feedback and resident outcomes.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, research, and best practices in senior wellness, incorporating innovative approaches into our programs.
- Foster a culture of wellness throughout the community, engaging residents, families, and staff in meaningful and enjoyable activities.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to resident care and wellness.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals in the community.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a senior living or skilled nursing environment.
- Strong knowledge of geriatric care, including physical and mental health challenges common in older adults.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care.
- Ability to develop and implement innovative wellness programs that enhance resident well-being.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in using technology for documentation and data analysis.
