Job Description
The State of Virginia is seeking a Cloud Engineer to serve in a Team Leader role, ensuring seamless connectivity between interface partners and managing infrastructure across multiple projects. The selected candidate will act as the primary resource for all infrastructure-related activities, coordinating with various stakeholders to meet project goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Single Point of Contact for Infrastructure Activities – Act as the central resource for all infrastructure-related tasks.
- Ownership and Accountability – Take full responsibility for infrastructure tasks, ensuring timely execution.
- Infrastructure Connectivity Management – Manage all infrastructure connectivity activities and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Project Coordination & Timeline Management – Work closely with CJIS and PMO teams to proactively address potential delays.
- Coordination with Interface Partners – Facilitate connectivity and ensure all project requirements are met.
- Network Connectivity Documentation & IP Management – Maintain high-level network connectivity documentation and centralize IP and server details.
- Firewall Rule Documentation – Prepare and manage firewall rule documentation in collaboration with VITA and interface partners .
- Testing & Establishing Connectivity – Work with VITA and partners to test, validate, and implement secure connections.
- Monitoring & System Insights – Establish monitoring tools to gain infrastructure insights and proactively address issues.
- Centralized Documentation Management – Maintain documentation for infrastructure design, IP address management, and connectivity standards.
- Address Infrastructure Gaps – Manage infrastructure alignment, IP management, and disaster recovery planning .
- Project CRIS Team Member – Contribute as a key team member to meet infrastructure and connectivity requirements.
